PGA Tour Golfer David Ford Withdraws From Zurich Classic
The 2026 RBC Heritage tournament wrapped up with its final round on Sunday, with 31-year-old Englishman Matt Fitzpatrick taking down World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler in a playoff at Harbour Town Golf Links.
Now, the PGA Tour turns its attention toward its next event: the 2026 Zurich Classic at New Orleans' TPC Louisiana.
The final field for the unique PGA Tour event features 74 two-man teams. The first and third rounds will be Four-ball (best ball), and the second and final rounds will be Foursomes (alternate shot).
The Zurich Classic has featured a two-man team format since 2017. It's the only official FedExCup event that uses a team format on the PGA Tour schedule.
Ryan Gerard was slated to pair up with David Ford at the Zurich Classic. But on Monday, Ford withdrew from the event.
Ford will be replaced by Canadian golfer Sudarshan Yellamaraju.

Ben Griffin and Andrew Novak won the 2025 Zurich Classic with a final score of 28-under at TPC Louisiana. The pair will attempt to defend their title as a team in 2026.
The first round of the 2026 Zurich Classic will begin on Thursday.
