To the editor: Toledo Airport needs dedicated leadership
The Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport deserves new management. A new regional airport authority should be established to take over operational control from the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority. Northwest Ohio must reject the long-standing status quo of our failing regional airport. Established passenger airlines and flights to major hubs connect-ing northwest Ohio to the world are a necessity in the 21st century economy. That is the standard — not the paltry flight options to Florida by one airline existing today.
