Plea for NGT lens on ‘tree-felling’ for project
A Kendrapada petitioner has approached the National Green Tribunal alleging large-scale tree felling for a Rs 28-crore urban development project in Baripada. Over 100 trees were reportedly cut for a jubilee park and pond development without prior forest department approval, raising ecological concerns.
