Weather Forecast for RBC Heritage Final Round Turns Heads
The final round of the RBC Heritage is underway.
Early Sunday morning, golfers trailing in the PGA Tour signature event had the advantage of teeing off in more favorable conditions at Harbour Town Golf Links. For example, the 7:40 a.m. ET pairing of Michael Kim and Jason Day shot 8-under 63 and 7-under 64, respectively.
But as the leaders tee off later in the afternoon, the weather conditions get more difficult. Winds are forecast to pick up throughout the day, with gusts up to 25 mph.
There's also a 25% percent chance of isolated showers starting at 3 p.m. ET.
The leaders, Matt Fitzpatrick (17-under) and Scottie Scheffler (14-under), are scheduled to tee off at 1 :50 p.m. ET.

Several fans and analysts noted that these weather conditions could have a serious impact on how the results of the tournament shake out.
"Leaders coming in could face some wind & tough conditions. Feels like Scheffler is trained and built for this making him the favorite despite being 3 back of Fitzpatrick," one wrote.
"Gonna be a windy afternoon out there," another said.
"62 from Sepp or Harman please," another added.
Brian Harman, Sepp Straka and Si Woo Kim are tied for third at 13-under heading into the final round. There's a five-way tie for sixth featuring Gary Woodland, Ludvig Aberg, Aldrich Potgieter, Andrew Novak and Patrick Cantlay.
