Sunderland Beating Spurs Is One Thing, Aston Villa Is Another

Aston Villa play Sunderland at home today, and after reaching a semi-final spot in the Europa League, the squad should be full of confidence. The fans will expect them to deliver.

Other than Boubacar still out with a knee injury, Emery has a full squad to choose from. We’re pretty much back to full strength. The lads need to step up and get a home win.

Sunderland come into this on the back of two league wins. A strong away win against their arch rivals Newcastle United, and a home win last Sunday against Tottenham Hotspur. They’ll be confident.

Villa are unbeaten in five, one win and a draw in the league, with three wins in Europe. Now we need to bring that European form, which has been excellent, into the Premier League as we reach the business end of the season.

So how do I see it? Villa can do it, but there’s no room for complacency. Sunderland will give us a proper test today. UTV
