St. John’s lands international shooter

Rick Pitino continues to remake his roster with an international flavor.
St. John’s on Saturday added a commitment from 6-foot-8 Đorđije Jovanović of Montenegro, per Draft Express.
He played parts of two seasons with the L.A. Clippers G League team.

The 6'8, 22-year-old Montenegrin averages 4.9 points in 15 minutes in the Adriatic League.

He joins British point guard Quinn Ellis among Pitino’s international additions.
St. John’s lost Dylan Darling, Joson Sanon and Kelvin Odih to the portal and is expected to return wing Ian Jackson and big man Ruben Prey.
They remain in the mix for several other portal players.
