UCLA lands Butler transfer Azavier Robinson
By JAMES MADDEN
Mick Cronin and UCLA are continuing to add in the transfer portal. The Bruins landed a commitment from Butler transfer Azavier Robinson on Saturday, sources confirmed to ZAGSBLOG.
A 6-foot-2 guard from Indianapolis, Robinson averaged 6.1 points and 2.5 assists per game, but missed the final two months of the season after having season-ending wrist surgery.
Robinson appeared in 22 games for head coach Thad Matta during his freshman season, but entered the portal following Matta’s announcing of his retirement.
Now, the Indiana native will join the Bruins after an aggressive spring in the transfer portal, headlined by Texas Tech transfer Jaylen Petty.
In addition to Robinson and Petty, the Bruins have also landed commitments from Mississippi State transfer Sergej Macura and Auburn transfer Filip Jovic.
