LeBron and Bronny James Star in Promo for Christopher Nolan’s 'The Odyssey'
The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan, is already one of the most highly-anticipated movie releases of 2026.
But on Friday, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and his son, Bronny, added to that hype with a promotional video for the upcoming film.
"No legend worth watching took a straight and simple path," LeBron said in his voiceover of the promotion. "Nah, they chose challenges and changes every step of the way."
"And him?" LeBron said as the camera panned to Bronny. "He's on a journey all his own. With obstacles only he can conquer. Because in the end, this was never a myth — it's a legacy."

Bronny James was selected with the Lakers' No. 55 overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft, making he and LeBron the first active father-son duo in NBA history. This year, the pair will make more history as the first father-son duo to share the court in the NBA playoffs.
Bronny will be asked to play meaningful minutes in the Lakers' upcoming playoff series against the Houston Rockets. Both Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves are out indefinitely as they deal with injuries they sustained during an April 2 loss against the reigning-champion Oklahoma City Thunder.
Nolan's upcoming adaptation of Homer's Odyssey features a stacked cast, including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal and more.
The historical epic will release in theaters on July 17.
LeBron, Bronny and the Lakers will tipoff against the Rockets in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series on Saturday night.
