Jennifer Stone Returning as Harper in 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place' Final Season

Jennifer Stone is officially stepping back into Harper Finkle’s shoes one last time!

It has been confirmed by Variety that Jennifer will guest star in the third and final season of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, reprising her role as the fan-favorite character Harper, loyal best friend to Selena Gomez‘s Alex Russo.

Her return marks her first credited onscreen role since 2019. She stepped away from acting to pursue a nursing degree and later worked as a nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jennifer previously appeared in all 106 episodes of Wizards of Waverly Place, along with both films, making her one of the most recognizable characters in the franchise.

She joins a growing list of returning cast members. David Henrie leads the revival cast with Selena making occasional appearances. Maria Canals-Barrera and David DeLuise have also made guest appearances. Gregg Sulkin is set to appear in the final season.

Season 3 will consist of four episodes and is expected to premiere this summer on Disney Channel and Disney+.

The official logline for Season 3 is as follows, “Billie (Brown), still reeling from losing Alex at the end of Season 2, discovers that the only way to rescue her mother is to reunite with her long-lost father. As her family bands together to find Alex, Billie realizes that their combined power is the only way the Russos can defeat the evil plaguing them.”
