United through to FA Youth Cup final against City thanks to goal and assist from Chido Obi
Manchester United’s U-18s booked their place in the FA Youth Cup final again thanks to a goal from JJ Gabriel as well as a goal and assist from Chido Obi.
The semi-final against Crystal Palace was level at full-time so the game went to extra time and Chido scored the winner in the 116th minute.
This sets up a Youth Cup final against local rivals Manchester City, who will host the final at the Etihad on or prior to 9th May.
The two Manchester club have met previously in the final but we were on the losing side, after drawing 1-1 at Old Trafford before losing 2-0 at Maine Road. Now the final is a single-leg affair.
United are the most successful team in the competition’s history, winning it 11 times in total, most recently in 2022. Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garncho were in the starting line-up that day, two years before the two were goalscorers in the FA Cup final against City.
Which players from this current line-up can make a name for themselves?
