Ex-prosecutor warns against Tulsi Gabbard's conspiracy theories

Former Palm Beach County state attorney Dave Aronberg told "Morning Joe" hosts that Department of Justice investigators pursuing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard's election theft conspiracy theories in Florida will face embarrassment.

Aronberg argued Gabbard's push to criminally charge a whistleblower lacks merit and any DOJ prosecution would quickly collapse.

He suggested Gabbard's real motivation is maintaining President Donald Trump's favor after contradicting him on Iran policy and remaining a "MAGA outsider." Aronberg noted Gabbard risks a Trump Truth Social post firing her if she generates controversy. He pointed out the whistleblower case "will get a prosecutor laughed out of court," comparing potential outcomes to failed prosecutions by New York Attorney General Letitia James and former FBI Director James Comey.

Aronberg stated, while nothing has resulted from Gabbard's accusations, prosecutors in the Southern District of Florida are investigating, and any resulting cases would face "quick dismissals" and embarrassment for all involved.
