‘I know we can win them’ – Lucas Bergvall sends defiant message to Tottenham fans
Lucas Bergvall has shared his belief that Tottenham can still turn their season around, urging unity between players and supporters in the final weeks.
It has been a brutal year for Tottenham Hotspur, who remain the only side without a Premier League win in 2026.
Spurs now find themselves deep in relegation trouble, sitting 18th and two points from safety. While fellow strugglers such as West Ham, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest have shown signs of life, Tottenham have struggled to match that fight on the pitch.
Despite that, the support from the stands has not wavered. Week after week, the fans have continued to back the team, even as results have failed to improve.
With just six league games remaining, Roberto De Zerbi’s side are running out of time to turn their season around.
Lucas Bergvall backs Tottenham to turn things around
Speaking to the club ahead of the clash against Brighton, Lucas Bergvall praised the support from Tottenham fans and insisted the squad remain determined to turn their season around.
“It was a great feeling seeing everybody together (pre-Forest),” Bergvall said. “Sadly, the game didn’t go our way, but just seeing the fans fully behind us was unbelievable.
“Keep doing that and keep going now until the end. It is such a great feeling seeing our fans still backing us like that and seeing that everybody’s still going to the game even though we’ve had a poor season up to this point. We loved it a lot.
“We are going to keep going until the very end. Even though it has been a really tough season, there are still six games left, and we just need to go out there and give everything.
“There have also been lots of conversations with the players to get a better view of each other and how we can turn it around, because we are focused on the task ahead.
“I know we can win them, and I know we can turn this around. I also know our supporters will do everything to give us an extra edge, too. We are one, let’s fight together.”

What Tottenham must do to avoid relegation this season
Tottenham supporters have heard similar messages from players in recent weeks, but the real challenge now is turning those words into performances on the pitch.
With six games remaining, Spurs are effectively facing six finals. There is no room for error, and every match now carries huge importance regardless of the opponent.
The immediate focus will be on the upcoming clash against Brighton. A positive result there could finally give Tottenham some momentum, something they have lacked for much of the season.
More than anything, the players must match the energy and belief shown by the fans. The support has been there throughout, and now it is up to the squad to respond.
