By JAMES MADDEN
Oklahoma has officially signed 6-foot-6 Utah Valley transfer Tyler Hendricks. He’ll join the Sooners to play for head coach Porter Moser and will have one season of eligibility remaining.
Hendricks, the twin brother of Memphis Grizzlies forward and former top-ten pick Taylor Hendricks, is originally from southern Florida and averaged 11.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game for the Wolverines this season in their run to the WAC title game.
Similar to his brother Taylor, Hendricks began his career playing for head coach Johnny Dawkins at UCF, playing two seasons, while also redshirting his freshman season for the Knights, but later transferred to Utah Valley last spring.
Hendricks is Oklahoma’s second addition in this year’s transfer portal cycle, joining Louisville transfer Khani Rooths, enter Moser’s sixth season as the program’s head coach.
