Three arrested over attempted arson at Iran International media building in London
British police have arrested three people following an attempted arson attack on a building linked to Iran International Media in London.
Authorities said flammable materials were thrown at the building late Wednesday, but landed in a parking area and were quickly extinguished, causing no major damage or casualties.
Police later pursued a vehicle seen fleeing the scene and arrested a 16-year-old boy and two men, aged 19 and 21, on suspicion of attempted arson and endangering lives.
The suspects remain in custody, while investigators said the incident is not currently being treated as terrorism, though inquiries are ongoing.
The attack follows other recent incidents in north London, including a reported arson attempt at a synagogue and an earlier attack on ambulances belonging to a Jewish charity.
Police said they are aware of unverified claims by a group allegedly linked to Iran, but stressed that all lines of investigation remain open.
Counter-terrorism officers are involved in the investigation due to similarities between recent incidents and the nature of the targeted locations.
Officials also warned of a rise in hate-related crimes, including antisemitic attacks, and said perpetrators could face serious consequences.
Authorities said there is no wider risk to the public, but investigations continue into possible links and motives behind the attacks.
