You Run, We Plant: PARKVOL charity run to raise tree-planting funds this Sunday

PARKVOL is holding the 2nd PARKVOL RUN 2026, which will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the Linear Park (Olive Fields Bridge) in Strovolos—an inspiring initiative connecting sport with environmental action and collective contribution.

PARKVOL is a volunteer initiative established by students, driven by care and sensitivity for both the environment and society, promoting environmental awareness and active participation from the younger generation.

The event is being held in collaboration with the Municipality of Strovolos and The Pace Makers Run Club, strengthening cooperation between youth, local authorities and civil society, with the shared goal of a better environmental future.

At the heart of the initiative lies a simple yet meaningful idea: for every participant who completes the race, one tree will be planted. Last year, 115 trees were proudly planted—one for each runner.

Participants can choose between two routes: 3 kilometres and 5 kilometres. Both routes will be fully marked, and PARKVOL volunteers will be stationed at selected points to provide water and guidance. An ambulance and a first aid team will be on standby throughout the event.

Registrations are available exclusively online through the SoldOut Tickets platform, with participation fees as follows:

• €5 for the 3km route
• €7 for the 5km route

Each runner will receive a special identification sticker: blue for the 3km route and red for the 5km route. Awards will be given to the top three men and top three women in each race, while all participants will receive a commemorative medal. The races will be held without official timing.

• 08:00 – Arrival
• 08:45 – 5km race start
• 09:00 – 3km race start
• 09:45 – Awards ceremony
