D4vd Arrest Video Emerges in Celeste Rivas Death Case
D4vD has been arrested in the long-simmering investigation into the death of missing teen Celeste Rivas Hernandez, and now dramatic new video has emerged showing him being taken into custody.
TMZ obtained the video, which, according to the entertainment site, shows the singer being taken "into custody shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday in the Hollywood Hills, not far off the Sunset Strip." The Los Angeles County District Attorney told TMZ that it's expected that prosecutors will now receive the evidence so they can consider whether to charge D4vd in the death of Rivas Hernandez, whose body was discovered in the trunk of a car.
The video shows a massive law enforcement response as officers cuffed D4vd.

D4vd Was Arrested on 'Suspicion of Murder' But Denies the Accusation, Reports Say
According to The Los Angeles Times, D4vd was accused of "suspicion of murder" in the death of Rivas Hernandez, who was 14. His lawyers "said that evidence will show he did not murder Hernandez and that they intend to vigorously defend his innocence," The Times noted. He is being held "without bail," according to The Times.
D4vd's real name is David Anthony Burke. Authorities have not detailed which evidence led them to finally make an arrest, The Times added. “Let us be clear — the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death,” Blair Berk, Marilyn Bednarski, and Regina Peter said in a joint statement to The Times.
Since Rivas Hernandez's body was found in the trunk of D4vd's Tesla, suspicion has swirled around the singer.
Among the accusations:
- A house tied to D4vd was searched by police, his concert tour was canceled, and music promotions stopped.
- Fans noticed that his songs and music videos contain graphic death imagery, including one video showing a body placed in a trunk and another showing a woman in a bloody dress.
- D4vd’s most famous song, called “Romantic Homicide,” contains bloody imagery.
- A series of other troubling details included reports that D4vd recorded a song that mentioned the name “Celeste.”

D4vd explained the lyrics to the song “Romantic Homicide” in an interview with Genius. The song has had more than 195 million views on YouTube.
D4vd has said in interviews that the woman’s death in his “Romantic Homicide” video is not meant to be taken literally.
The disturbin lgyrics include the lines, “In the back of my mind / I killed you / And I didn’t even regret it. I can’t believe I said it / But it’s true / I hate you.”
“So what inspired the hook, ‘in the back of the mind you died,’ is kind of like the storytelling aspects of the lyrics that came before it in a way that it builds up to,” D4vd said in that interview. “The big moment where she died in the back of my mind. I didn’t kill her physically, but in the back of my mind, she died. I didn’t even cry, not a single tear.”
