The Wedding Travel Company, the UK’s largest independent destination wedding company, recently issued an announcement reassuring couples that Cyprus remains a safe destination for weddings despite regional concerns.

The company acknowledged that ongoing news coverage surrounding the Middle East has created uncertainty for some couples planning to marry abroad.

However, it stressed that Cyprus continues to welcome thousands of UK travellers each week, including those attending weddings and events.

The announcement confirmed that resorts, venues, and wedding suppliers are operating as normal, with ceremonies taking place as scheduled across the island.

Importantly, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has not issued any advice against travel to Cyprus, reinforcing confidence in the destination.

The company stated that it monitors official updates closely and bases its guidance entirely on verified government information, ensuring clients receive accurate advice.

“As things stand, there are no restrictions impacting weddings or travel to Cyprus,” the company said.

The firm also emphasised that contingency planning is in place should official travel advice change, prioritising customer reassurance.

“If official guidance were to change at any point we would contact you immediately,” the company said.

The announcement highlighted that weddings in Cyprus are continuing without disruption, particularly in popular destinations such as Paphos and Ayia Napa.

Local venues, planners, and service providers remain fully operational, maintaining the high standards associated with destination weddings on the island.

The company underlined that couples are continuing to celebrate their weddings in Cyprus, enjoying the experience as planned.

“We know your wedding is one of the most important days of your life,” the company said.

“Feeling confident, informed, and supported is essential,” it added.
