Woman and teen in serious condition almost two months after Parkwood crash
Two people, one of whom is a teenager, remain in a serious condition in hospital almost two months after a crash.
The emergency services were called to Deanwood Drive in Parkwood at around 3.10am on February 20 after a black Skoda Yeti left the carriageway and hit a tree.
The driver, a woman in her 20s, and a teenage passenger were taken to a London hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Almost two months later, the pair are still in hospital, but in a serious but stable condition.
As part of the police’s inquiries, a man, who was driving a different car, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The 37-year-old from Dartford has since been released on bail until May 22 while the investigation continues.
Meanwhile, officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit appealed for witnesses and asked motorists for dashcam footage.
The road was closed in both directions between Maidstone Road and Hawbeck Road, and police, paramedics, fire crews and the air ambulance were all in attendance.
