Adrien Brody & Tessa Thompson Join the Real Nick Yarris at Opening Night of 'The Fear of 13' on Broadway
Adrien Brody and Tessa Thompson are celebrating their Broadway debuts alongside the real-life man who inspired their play, The Fear of 13.
The actors were joined by Nick Yarris while walking the red carpet at The Fear of 13‘s opening night performance on Wednesday (April 15) at the James Earl Jones Theatre in New York City.
The Fear of 13 follows the story of Nick Yarris (Brody), who spends more than two decades on death row for a murder he insists he did not commit. Through a series of prison visits with a volunteer named Jackie (Thompson), Nick traces a life shaped by impulse and consequence. As Nick and Jackie’s conversations deepen, the line between witness and participant blurs, forcing both to confront what justice demands, what belief requires, and the perilous distance between true freedom and the illusion of self determination.
Also walking the carpet were co-stars Ephraim Sykes, Ben Thompson, Eddie Cooper, and more. They were joined by playwright Lindsey Ferrentino and director David Cromer.
Some of the celebrity guests at opening night included Anna Wintour and her daughter Bee, Emmy Rossum, Common, Mamie Gummer, and Adrien‘s partner Georgina Chapman.
