Bruce: Securing Three Points 'The Main Thing'
Hibs U19s midfielder Zach Bruce revealed his delight at Wednesday's late league victory over Celtic.
Bruce captained the side to a memorable win at HTC - which brings the team level with Rangers on top spot with a game in hand.
Callum MacDonald and Josh McDonald were on the scoresheet for the wee Hibees as once again Bruce put in a leading performance in the middle of the park.
Speaking to Hibs TV, the youngster discussed the high-octane battle and the manner of the team's winner.
"I thought we had a dominant first half," he told Hibs TV. "We should have put away our chances, though.
"We came out for the second half and didn't start too great. They had a few chances. But the main thing is we got a 3-2 win and the three points.
"We’re really buzzing with the win - to get it in the last minute against Celtic is amazing.
"Some of the time it was like a basketball game out there. But I like to get stuck in and show my aggression. It was just a good win in the end."
Speaking on his newly-found captaincy role in the absence of other squad leaders, Bruce admitted he is not changing anything on or off the pitch as he takes on the important role.
"I think it's really the same. I just keep my head down, keep working hard.
"I just want to come out on the pitch, lead the boys and keep on getting wins - which is the main thing for us right now."
