Medway Youth Duathlon race report

Some of our members also take part in duathlons, aquathlons and triathlons as well as bike riding and racing. Sunday saw the first event of the year which was the Medway Youth Duathlon at Cyclopark in Gravesend. This involved a run followed by a bike ride followed by a second run. It was great to see so many of our members taking part, we had 9 members with entries in every age category. Well done to Des, Jack, Thor, Mason, Luke, Jake, Felix, Ella and Cooper.

Well done to everyone, especially those who are new to Duathlons or haven’t done much running. It was great to see how well all of our members did on the bike and how much they all seemed to enjoy the day.

On the day the club had a few podiums with Des finishing first in the Tristar U8s, Jack finished first in the Tristar 1 U10s (Thor was really close to a podium finishing 4th) and Luke finished second in Tristar 2 U12s having taken the lead during the bike ride but couldn’t quite hold on in the final run.
