“Before Danny Ocean ever stepped foot in Vegas, two masterminds taught him everything he knows — his parents,” she said, via Variety. “You’ll see them in their prime, and in our new movie, pulling off an epic heist at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.”
Margot will star in and produce the movie alongside Bradley Cooper, who is also said to direct after two other directors dropped out. They are presumably set to play the parents of Danny Ocean, George Clooney‘s character in the original trilogy.
Warner Bros also revealed at CinemaCon that the Ocean’s prequel is currently slated to release on June 25, 2027, which means filming will likely begin this year.
In addition to the prequel, a fourth installment with the original cast – George, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Don Cheadle and Casey Affleck – is also in the works.
Ocean’s 14 hopes to begin filming this October. Find out what George said about the movie here!
