Warner Bros. Names Release Dates for 'Weapons' Prequel, 'Evil Dead Wrath,' 'Ocean's' Prequel & 4 More

Warner Bros. has just announced the release date for several of its most highly-anticipated upcoming films, including the Ocean’s 11 prequel film starring Margot Robbie, the next Evil Dead, and more.

Other additions to the list include a new Final Destination movie, the Weapons prequel Gladys, and another film from Zach Cregger titled The Flood, per Variety.

The news was announced at CinemaCon, where WB also invited Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman to tease Practical Magic 2, the cast of Dune: Part Three, and Jason Momoa and Milly Alcock premiered new footage of Supergirl.

- The Revenge of La Llorona: April 9, 2027
- Ocean’s prequel: June 25, 2027
- Evil Dead Wrath: April 7, 2028
- Gladys: September 8, 2028
- Final Destination 7: May 12, 2028
- Zach Cregger’s The Flood: August 11, 2028
- Untitled Baz Luhrmann film about Joan of Arc: November 22, 2028

It should be noted, however, that the news comes amid Warner Bros. in the middle of being sold to Paramount Skydance, which means lots of things could change between now and the time these films are scheduled to come out.

But Paramount CEO David Ellison says he wants to release 30 films theatrically per year, so they will likely need to plenty of movies to fill those slots.

From the stage, WB co-chair Pam Abdy said, “Look, we know they’re not all going to work. There’s no version of this business that’s risk-free. But our job is to step up, make bets and own it when it doesn’t work.”
