28yo Man Utd man agrees exit terms as transfer talks enter final stage
Manchester United are set for a big summer window ahead of the crucial 2026-27 season.
United are expected to complete a major overhaul in their goalkeeping department.
Besiktas made an offer for Altay Bayindir in January but United turned it down as they wanted to keep him as cover for Senne Lammens.
According to the Daily Mail, Altay Bayindir’s representatives have now agreed personal terms with Besiktas.
The deal should go through if the Turkish club can settle on a transfer fee with United.
Bayindir moved to Old Trafford from Fenerbahce for £4.3 million in 2023.
Bayindir looks poised to leave Man United
The 28-year-old has made 17 appearances for the Red Devils, with six of them coming in the Premier League this season.
Former manager Ruben Amorim trusted Bayindir ahead of Andre Onana at the start of this season.
Even when Lammens was signed from Royal Antwerp, Amorim backed Bayindir between the sticks.
However, the Turkey international failed to impress. His ball distribution improved but he looked highly vulnerable during the set pieces and made occasional errors.
Lammens has been a breath of fresh air. He is expected to retain the number one spot.
Radek Vitek has enjoyed a sensational loan spell at Bristol City. He is likely to earn promotion and compete with Lammens for the goalkeeping spot.
This should allow United to cash in on Bayindir. They will also be eager to offload Onana permanently.
The Cameroon international has no future at Old Trafford but his high wages could force United to send him on another loan.
