Taylor Frankie Paul Cleared On Domestic Violence Charges by District Attorney
Taylor Frankie Paul will not be facing domestic violence charges in her ongoing drama with ex Dakota Mortensen.
The 31-year-old The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reality TV star has been cleared by the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office of any charges against her.
Taylor and ex Dakota have been going back and forth over the past couple months over incidents that have taken place between them, which have led to her season of The Bachelorette getting pulled, his storyline on Vanderpump Villa being scrapped and more.

“After reviewing reports and evidence submitted to the Draper Police Department and West Jordan Police Department, the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office has declined to file charges against Taylor Frankie Paul,” announced DA Sim Gill’s office shared on Tuesday (April 14), via Deadline.
There were also letters sent that day to the Draper and West Jordan police departments.
“The complainant in these cases reported several incidents – some of which occurred more than three years ago,” the prosecutor said. “Any incidents of misdemeanor offenses which are alleged to have occurred more than two years ago are barred by the statute of limitations. Incidents which are alleged to have occurred within the statute of limitations have also been reviewed.”
“Several incidents that were submitted do not rise to the level of criminal offenses,” they continued. “The remaining incidents lack sufficient evidence to support filing criminal charges where the State must be able to prove such allegations beyond a reasonable date. Such incidents lack specificity as to when and what actually occurred or corroboration.”
“Based on the evidence submitted for screening by the Draper Police Department and West Jordan Police Department, the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office declines to file any charges,” the statement concluded.
In late February, both Taylor and Dakota accused each other of domestic violence, and production on the hit Hulu show was paused amid the police investigation. At the same time, ABC scrapped Taylor‘s season of The Bachelorette as well after a 2023 video was published showing Taylor throwing chairs at her ex-boyfriend.
Dakota was also granted temporary custody of their son Ever, with Taylor getting limited visitation
