Mockery surrounds MAGA host as Pete Buttigieg fact-checks him on air
Liberal commentator David Pakman criticized CNBC host Joe Kernan for losing composure during a Monday interview with Democrat Pete Buttigieg.
In the David Pakman Show, the host said Kernan got "dogwalked" after Buttigieg fact-checked his economic claims.
Kernan argued President Donald Trump's economy outperforms Former President Joe Biden's due to lower inflation, but Buttigieg countered that current inflation stands at 3.3% year-over-year compared to 2.9% under Biden.
Buttigieg noted that despite Trump's day-one promises to reduce prices, inflation has increased. Kernan then repeatedly interrupted Buttigieg throughout the segment. Pakman characterized Kernan as emotionally reactive, ill-suited for remaining calm during disagreements.
Pakman emphasized the imbalance, stating the exchange wasn't a genuine debate when "one person loses control of their ability to think and their ability to remain calm."
