To the editor: Birthright citizenship ruling remains law of land
ON JAN. 20, 2025, the first day of President Trump’s current term of office, he signed an executive order, No. 14160. Executive Order 14160 purported to end birthright citizenship for — and strip American citizenship from — children of unauthorized immigrants and immigrants legally but temporarily present in the United States, such as those on student, work, or tourist visas.
