Justin Bieber Said He Didn't Want to Go on Tour Before Eventually Cancelling Shows, Chris Pfaff Claims
Justin Bieber canceled a significant amount of shows on his last two tours and now someone is speaking out to claim that the singer didn’t want to tour in the first place.
Chris “The Drama” Pfaff, who worked with Justin on Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory in 2011 and Punk’d in 2012, is opening up about a private conversation that he once had with the pop star.
On the latest episode of his Group Chat podcast, which just celebrated 1,000 episodes, Chris was talking about Justin‘s return to the stage at Coachella. One of his co-hosts encouraged him to share his story of running into Justin before a tour was going to launch.
“I keep hesitating in my mind. I want to be very cryptic, because this is the type of thing people could actually talk about,” Chris began.

“We were in the kitchen at The Nice Guy and Biebs walked in and sat down… him and I were talking,” Chris said. “What he was telling me in that conversation, I’ll tell a very limited amount of information, so there’s a lot I won’t even say… but my point is what he was saying to me was, ‘I have this tour booked and I don’t want to go. And I want to cancel it and it’s not good for my health. Last time I went on tour, here’s what happened to me. I don’t want to go.’ But the point is, that actually ended up being like this massive moment where he did cancel that tour. He canceled all following tours.”
“I was sitting next to you and pretended to be on my phone and I listened to every word of you and Bieber talking,” his co-host Anand Murthy said.
It’s unclear if Chris ran into Justin before the Purpose World Tour in 2016 or the Justice World Tour in 2022, but it seems most likely it was the former.
For those who don’t know, Justin canceled the final 14 shows of the Purpose Tour due to depression. He told Vogue, “I got really depressed on tour. I haven’t talked about this, and I’m still processing so much stuff that I haven’t talked about. I was lonely. I needed some time.”
The bulk of the Justice Tour dates were canceled in late 2022 after he was diagnosed with Type 2 Ramsay Hunt syndrome.
