New restaurant coming to empty stretch of Sixth Street

A pink building sits on the northeast corner of Sixth and Neches Streets in downtown Austin. Its bones are old. There's a small market/souvenir shop next to it, but not much else on its side of the block.

But next year, it's set to house a whole new energy.

It's one of 34 buildings that Stream Realty has redeveloped in the hopes of revitalizing Sixth Street, and Taqueria De Diez has signed a lease there.
