Five-star guard Dylan Mingo decommits from North Carolina

Five-star Long Island Lutheran and PSA Cardinals guard Dylan Mingo has decommitted from North Carolina and will re-open his recruitment, he told ZAGSBLOG.
In February, the 6-foot-5 Mingo chose Hubert Davis and the Heels over Washington, Penn State and Baylor. The school then fired Davis after the season and hired former NBA championship coach Mike Malone.
Mingo’s older brother, former Penn State guard Kayden Mingo, is in the portal, so both brothers are now free agents.
“Dylan brings tremendous versatility to the college level at 6-5 running the point,” PSA Cardinals coach Donovan Jones said when he committed. “He’s a true two-way guard who can defend multiple positions, create his own shot, and make plays for others.”
North Carolina on Monday also saw two players transfer out in Derek Dixon (Arizona) and Luka Bogavec (Oklahoma State), while they added Virginia Tech transfer Neoklis Avdalas.
