'Little House on the Prairie' Trailer: Netflix Debuts First Footage of Alice Halsey as New Laura Ingalls in Reboot Series - Watch Now!

Netflix is introducing us to the new Ingalls family!

On Monday (April 13), the streaming service debuted the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Little House on the Prairie reboot series based on the beloved book series by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

The new series stars Alice Halsey as Laura Ingalls, Skywalker Hughes as Laura’s older sister Mary, Luke Bracey as Charles “Pa” Ingalls, and Crosby Fitzgerald as Caroline “Ma” Ingalls.

Keep reading to find out more… “Once upon a time, Ma and Pa and Mary and Laura left the big woods of Wisconsin and moved to the prairie,” a young Laura (Halsey) says as the teaser begins. “Their new life was waiting for them.”

As the teaser shows the family settle into their new life, Laura says, “Every day and every night was an adventure. And even though they were all alone, and very small against the sky and the stars, they were happy because they were a family and they were together.”

Here’s the official synopsis: “Part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West, this fresh adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s iconic semi-autobiographical Little House books offers a kaleidoscopic view of the struggles and triumphs of those who shaped the frontier.”

Little House on the Prairie premieres July 9 on Netflix. The show has already been renewed for a second season!
