Popular Cruise Line Cancels 11 Sailings — Here Are the Impacted Dates
If you have a Carnival cruise booked for this fall, you'll want to check your itinerary.
Carnival Cruise Line just canceled 11 sailings aboard the Carnival Firenze scheduled between October 12 and November 16, 2026. The cruise line confirmed the cancellations to USA TODAY, citing "changes to itinerary plans" without elaborating on the specific reason.
Guests booked on the affected sailings and their travel advisors have been notified directly. Carnival is offering two options to impacted passengers: rebook on a comparable sailing in similar accommodations with cruise fare protected plus an onboard credit, or receive a full refund of their cruise fare and any pre-purchased items to the original form of payment.
Which Dates Did Carnival Cancel?
The impacted sailings cover the following window:
October 12, 2026 — November 16, 2026.
All Carnival Firenze departures during this period have been canceled.
Cruise cancellations of this scale are relatively uncommon but not unheard of. Ships occasionally need to be pulled from service for dry dock maintenance or refurbishment, and itineraries can shift due to changing port availability or charter arrangements. Norwegian Cruise Line scrapped months of sailings across four ships last year under similar circumstances.
If your sailing falls within the impacted window, Carnival recommends contacting your travel advisor or reaching out to Carnival directly to discuss your rebooking or refund options.
