Kaavia James Is a Complete Daddy’s Girl in Adorable Candid Photos With Dwyane Wade

It’s fall in California, which means it’s still warm enough to swim, but at least you get to play with pumpkins now! And Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s daughter Kaavia James, who turns 7 next month, is having the time of her life. The first grader enjoys all the best after-school activities with her dad by her side in the cutest candid photos of the family.

“the best kind of trouble with daddy ???????? @dwyanewade,” a photo carousel shared to Kaavia’s personal account (run by her parents) was captioned. In the first picture, Kaavia’s eyes are gleaming with happiness as she holds up a tiny pumpkin that fits in the palm of her hand. In another picture, Wade reaches over with a bit of frosting from a cinnamon roll on his finger as if he’s going to feed Kaavia. They are sitting outside on a breakfast date, and it looks perfect!

There are also pictures of the Union-Wade’s Halloween decorations, complete with pumpkins and skeleton dogs; a video of Kaavia chatting about going up to get her swimsuit on; and photos of Kaavia smiling and laughing n the pool with her dad. Kaavia is crushing it at fall break with her dad by her side!

Everyone noticed how much Kaav loves her dad. “Kaavia is definitely a daddy’s girl. I love that she’s surrounded with so much love. You’re truly blessed, baby girl ????” one person said.

“Why you take your Daddy’s face like that, Kaav?” someone else asked. It’s a valid question, because she is definitely her dad’s mini-me!

She may look like her dad, but Kaavia acts just like her mama. In an interview with Marie Claire in May, the Bring It On alum chatted about their similarities. “Kaavia is so cool. It’s weird to say this about a 6-year-old, but from birth, she’s just different,” Union dished. “She’s such a small person and yet we’re so much alike.”

Union added, “We’re both Scorpios, we’re both wildly observant, and neither of us forgets anything. No matter how much you think someone might’ve—she’s so young, she forgot it—she didn’t forget, and it’s going to come back out when you least expect it. I have to really watch falling into a kiki with her—she can’t have that long of a leash because then it’s her household [laughs]. She just has a very strong, clear personality. We can influence her kindness. But her character? She was born with her character. If anything, it’s more teaching her and showing her by example not to be a pushover.”
