Roundup: No. 7 Indiana delivers statement win at No. 3 Oregon

No. 7 Indiana came up with the signature win of head coach Curt Cignetti's 1 1/2-year tenure, going into Eugene, Ore., and upsetting No. 3 Oregon 30-20 on Saturday afternoon.

The Ducks' high-volume offense managed just 13 points against Indiana (6-0, 3-0 Big Ten), whose defense held Oregon to 14 first downs and 3 of 14 on third downs. Oregon (5-1, 2-1) saw the nation's longest active regular-season winning streak (23) and home winning streak (18) come to an end, losing its first regular-season game since Oct. 14, 2023.

After throwing a fourth-quarter pick-6 that tied the game at 20 with 12:42 left, Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza capped off a 75-yard, 6:19 drive with an 8-yard touchdown pass to Elijah Sarratt. Roman Hemby rushed for a pair of touchdowns and 70 yards on 19 carries and Sarratt caught eight passes for 121 yards and a TD

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore completed 21 of 34 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown, but was sacked six times and threw two fourth-quarter interceptions.

No. 1 Ohio State 34, No. 17 Illinois 16

CJ Donaldson Jr. ran for two touchdowns, Julian Sayin passed for two more scores and the Buckeyes scored 21 points off turnovers in a victory over the Fighting Illini in Champaign, Ill.

Sayin was 19-of-27 passing for 166 yards and Jeremiah Smith had five receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown. The Buckeyes (6-0, 3-0 in Big Ten) entered the game having allowed 25 points, the fewest in the nation.

Luke Altmyer was 30-of-44 passing for 248 yards with one touchdown and one interception for Illinois (5-2, 2-2), while Hank Beatty had seven receptions for 48 yards. The Illini outgained the Buckeyes 295 yards to 272 in the defeat.

No. 4 Ole Miss 24, Washington State 21

Trinidad Chambliss threw two touchdown passes and ran for a touchdown, and the Rebels held off an upset attempt by the Cougars in Oxford, Miss.

Chambliss completed 20 of 29 for 253 yards, and Ole Miss (6-0) got 142 rushing yards from Kewan Lacy and prevailed despite a series of early missed scoring opportunities.

Zevi Eckhaus passed for 218 yards and two touchdowns to lead Washington State (3-3), which was an underdog of 30-plus points. Kirby Vorhees carried 10 times for 88 yards and a score.

No. 5 Texas A&M 34, Florida 17

Marcel Reed threw for 234 yards and accounted for two touchdowns as the Aggies pulled away in the fourth quarter for an SEC win over the Gators in College Station, Texas.

The Aggies (6-0, 3-0 SEC) sealed the outcome with 10 points in the fourth quarter. Reuben Owens II scored on a 2-yard run with 4:39 remaining and Randy Bond converted a 22-yard field goal with 1:11 left. Texas A&M rolled up 417 total yards and converted 9 of 17 third downs.

DJ Lagway started out hot for the Gators (2-4, 1-2) but cooled off considerably, finishing 21-of-37 passing for 245 yards and two touchdowns. He also lost a fumble in the fourth quarter that led to Bond's field goal.

Texas 23, No. 6 Oklahoma 6

Arch Manning completed 78% of his passes for 166 yards and a touchdown to help the Longhorns knock off the Sooners in Dallas.

Texas (3-3, 1-1 SEC) intercepted Oklahoma (5-1, 1-1) quarterback John Mateer three times, and sacked him five times overall, including twice on a critical drive late to clinch their second straight victory in the Red River Rivalry.

With 9:59 remaining, Texas' Ryan Niblett returned a punt 75 yards for a touchdown to put the Longhorns up 20-6. Texas then sacked Mateer on back-to-back plays on the Sooners' next drive before an incompletion gave the ball back to the Longhorns. Oklahoma, which entered the day leading the nation in sacks, tallied only one.

No. 8 Alabama 27, No. 14 Missouri 24

Ty Simpson passed for 200 yards and three touchdowns, and Dijon Lee Jr. recorded the clinching interception to lead the Crimson Tide to a victory over the Tigers in Columbia, Mo.

Kevin Riley, Isaiah Horton, and Daniel Hill each caught a touchdown pass, as Alabama (5-1, 3-0 SEC) ended Missouri's 15-game home winning streak. Jam Miller rushed for 85 yards. Bray Hubbard recorded his third interception of the season.

Beau Pribula completed 16 of 28 passes for 167 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions; he also rushed for 61 yards and a score for the Tigers (5-1, 1-1). Tigers star Ahmad Hardy rushed for 52 yards on 12 carries, marking the first time this season he failed to reach 100 yards.

No. 9 Texas Tech 42, Kansas 17

Cameron Dickey rushed for a career-high 263 yards that included touchdown runs of 71 and 55 yards in the Red Raiders' runaway victory over the Jayhawks in Lubbock, Texas.

Dickey had not rushed for more than 100 yards in any of his 12 previous games with the Red Raiders. Starting with his 71-yard touchdown on the team's first play from scrimmage, he anchored a ground attack that saw Texas Tech rack up 372 rushing yards to overcome a right lower-leg injury to quarterback Behren Morton.

Jalon Daniels completed 27 of 33 pass attempts for 228 yards with two touchdowns, helping the Jayhawks cut what was a 21-0 deficit to 21-17 at the half before Texas Tech pulled away with 21 unanswered second-half points.

No. 10 Georgia 20, Auburn 10

Gunner Stockton completed 24 of 37 passes for 217 yards and ran for a game-sealing touchdown to help the Bulldogs rally from an early 10-0 deficit and beat the host Tigers in SEC play.

Zachariah Branch had nine receptions for 57 yards for Georgia (5-1, 3-1 SEC), which scored 20 unanswered points to earn its ninth straight win over Auburn.

Jackson Arnold threw for 137 yards and added 55 yards and a rushing score for the Tigers (3-3, 0-3), who dropped their third straight game. Cam Coleman had seven catches for 50 yards.

No. 11 LSU 20, South Carolina 10

Garrett Nussmeier threw two touchdown passes and the Tigers overcame his two interceptions in a victory against the Gamecocks in Baton Rouge, La.

The Tigers (5-1, 2-1 SEC) rushed for a season-high 166 yards and took the ball away twice. Nussmeier completed 20 of 33 passes for 254 yards, and Trey'Dez Green had eight catches for 119 yards and a touchdown.

LaNorris Sellers was 15 of 27 for just 124 yards with an interception for the Gamecocks (3-3, 1-3).

No. 12 Tennessee 34, Arkansas 31

Peyton Lewis rushed for two touchdowns, and the Volunteers broke a halftime tie to beat the Razorbacks in Bobby Petrino's return as interim head coach of the Razorbacks in Knoxville, Tenn.

Joey Aguilar was 16 of 25 for 221 yards and a TD for Tennessee, which scored 17 unanswered points after the break and had 485 yards of offense. DeSean Bishop rushed 14 times for 146 yards and a TD, and Miles Kitselman caught a score. Braylon Staley produced 109 yards on six receptions.

The head coach of the visitors from 2008 to 2011, Petrino was back on the sidelines leading Arkansas, which had won the previous four matchups. Taylen Green was 21 of 31 for 256 yards and tossed two TD passes. Mike Washington Jr. rushed 19 times for 131 yards and a score as Arkansas had 496 yards of offense.

No. 13 Georgia Tech 35, Virginia Tech 20

Haynes King completed 20 of 24 passes for 213 yards and a touchdown, adding 60 rushing yards and two scores on the ground to help the Yellow Jackets post a victory over the visiting Hokies in Atlantic Coast Conference play.

Malachi Hosley rushed 11 times for 129 yards and a touchdown for the Yellow Jackets (6-0, 3-0 ACC), who won their sixth straight game to open a season for the first time since 2011.

Kyron Drones completed 13 of 21 passes for 181 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, while rushing for 83 yards and a score for the Hokies (2-5, 1-2), who were outgained 481-367.

Southern California 31, No. 15 Michigan 13

Jayden Maiava threw a pair of touchdown passes, and the Trojans overcame two red-zone turnovers to top the Wolverines in Los Angeles.

Maiava completed 78% of his passes for 265 yards and two touchdowns for USC (5-1, 3-1 Big Ten). Makai Lemon had 93 of those yards and one score while freshman running back King Miller amassed 158 yards and one rushing score that was a part of USC's 17-0 run to break open what had been a 7-7 game.

Bryce Underwood threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns. Much of that yardage went to Alex Marsh, who racked up 138 yards and a touchdown catch for the Wolverines (4-2, 2-1).

No. 16 Notre Dame 36, North Carolina State 7

CJ Carr completed 19 of 31 passes for 342 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, and the Fighting Irish pulled away against the Wolfpack in South Bend, Ind.

Jeremiyah Love rushed for 86 yards and two touchdowns for Notre Dame (4-2), which won its fourth game in a row. Will Pauling had 105 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Eli Raridon added 109 yards on seven receptions.

CJ Bailey completed 17 of 30 passes for 186 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions for NC State (4-3). Terrell Anderson had 57 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Colorado 24, No. 22 Iowa State 17

Kaidon Salter completed 16 of 25 passes for 255 yards, two touchdowns and rushed for 57 yards to spring the Buffaloes to an upset over the Cyclones in Boulder, Colo.

Joseph Williams had eight catches for 128 yards and a touchdown and Omarion Miller had three grabs for 83 yards and a touchdown. Tawfiq Byard added an interception, while Micah Welch had a rushing touchdown for Colorado (3-4, 1-3 Big 12).

Abu Sama III had 177 rushing yards on 24 carries and two touchdowns for Iowa State (5-2, 2-2), which has lost two straight games. Rocco Becht completed 18 of 33 passes for 205 yards and an interception.

Pittsburgh 34, No. 25 Florida State 31

Desmond Reid racked up 200 yards from scrimmage, Ja'Kyrian Turner scored two rushing touchdowns and the Panthers rallied to upset a depleted Seminoles team in ACC action at Tallahassee, Fla.

Reid, who missed the last two games with a lower-body injury, returned in epic fashion against the Seminoles. He finished with 155 yards on eight catches, 45 rushing yards and a pair of receiving touchdowns. True freshman Mason Heintschel, making his first career road start, completed 21 of 29 passes for 321 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Panthers (4-2, 2-1 in ACC).

The Seminoles (3-3, 0-3) got a touchdown back on a 58-yard touchdown pass from Tommy Castellanos to Micahi Danzy with 1:45 left in the game, but were unable to recover the onside and ran out of time, dropping their third straight game. Castellanos completed 16 of 23 passes for 245 yards and three touchdowns. Danzy led Florida State with seven receptions for 133 yards and a pair of scores.
