Bears WR DJ Moore 'cool now' after feeling like he was 'hit by a car' Monday night
Bears receiver DJ Moore had trouble breathing after being hit by Vikings safety Jay Ward with 2:16 to play in Monday’s game.
“It felt like I got hit by a car,” Moore said Thursday. “In the moment, I couldn’t really breathe. I kinda got up but I couldn’t really get up. I went back down and couldn’t breathe.”
Moore re-entered the game soon thereafter but was sent off before the ball was snapped because the NFL’s concussion spotter flagged him. He did not have a concussion, though, and returned later in the game.
“The safety made a good play from the other side of the field, coming in and jarring the ball loose and torturing my body … ” he said. “I’m cool now, though.”
Moore, who hurt his groin and abdomen on the play, was a full participant in Thursday’s practice and will play Sunday against the Lions. He’s eager to avenge the Bears’ loss to the Vikings after the Bears blew an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter.
“Whether it’s finishing blocking, finishing plays, finishing a game — finish and execute in everything,” he said.
