30-year-old Topeka man killed in Labor Day shooting
Editor's Note: The City of Topeka announced a correction to its initial press release. This article has been updated to reflect that Cody Bush was killed in a shooting on Sept. 1 and not a shooting on Aug. 14.
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Law enforcement has released new information following a deadly north Topeka shooting on Labor Day.
The Topeka Police Department (TPD) reports that Cody Bush, 30, of Topeka was killed in a shooting on the holiday.
Officers were called around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 1 to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Northwest Holman Street. Police arriving in the area found one person suffering from life-threatening injuries who was declared dead at the scene.
