Fishing boat overturns in Lido Beach water: police
LIDO BEACH, N.Y. (PIX11) — A fishing boat carrying four passengers capsized in Lido Beach on Sunday, according to authorities.
Police said the Nassau County Marine Bureau heard reports of the overturned boat near the Jones Inlet around 10 a.m. on Sunday.
Upon arrival, authorities said all four passengers on board had safely reached a nearby sandbar. All were taken to Point Lookout, and no injuries were reported.
The 16-foot fishing boat was successfully retrieved by Sea Tow, according to officials.
Police did not mention what caused the boat to overturn.
