Suspect arrested in connection to Ville Platte teen's second-degree murder
VILLE PLATTE, La. (KLFY) -- An arrest has been made in connection to a second degree murder case which resulted in the death of a 17-year-old, deputies said.
Jamarion J Hall, age 18, of Carencro was arrested and charged with second degree murder and illegal possession of a stolen firearm on Wednesday by Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies, officials reported.
During the investigation, it was reported that the shooting occurred in an apartment near the intersection of Soileau Street and Edward Knotoe Thomas, Jr. Street.
Authorities said the shooting resulted in the death of Kayne Labrie, 17, who sustained one gunshot wound to his upper chest area and died at the scene.
According to deputies Hall was transferred to Ville Platte City Jail earlier today and is being held on a bond is $1,535,000.
