Latham man gets 4 to 12 years for multiple burglaries
COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Albany County judge sentenced a Latham man to four to 12 years in prison for a string of retail burglaries in 2023 and 2024. The Albany County District Attorney's Office said Jesse Stockman, 38, pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree burglary in Albany County Court on Thursday.
The DA's office said Stockman broke into and stole items from several stores on Loudon Road in Colonie, as well as other businesses, between late 2023 and early 2024. Businesses Stockman admitted to breaking into and stealing from include Ted's Fish Fry, The Deep End, Casa Flora, Bellini's, and Good Year Tire Company.
Court officials also stated Stockman burglarized Cider Belly Donuts on Fuller Road and, in some places, stole over $1,000 worth of products. Sockman still had items from the burglaries with him when New York State Police arrested him on January 16, 2024, admitting to stealing to support his drug addiction.
