Noah Cyrus Addresses Where Her Family Stands Amid Drama & Tension Reports
Noah Cyrus is addressing her family life, and setting the record straight about where things stand today.
The 25-year-old singer-songwriter spoke with People for a new digital cover story, and explained how she separates her personal life from the headlines.
“I keep myself quite separated from any interest or ‘drama’ with the family. The one thing that’s connected us with the entire world is music, and that’s what’s the most important to us,” Noah shared.

“Yeah, it emotionally is draining, but it doesn’t hurt us or touch us. It’s something that you really learn to keep separate and far away from yourself.”
After her parents Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus divorced in 2022, speculation grew about a rift in the famous family.
But Noah says things are solid today with her siblings Miley, Braison, Brandi, and Trace.
“Everybody’s great and loves each other,” she said.
“I think when you grow up with that being normal — things being public — that it doesn’t quite reach you. At the end of the day, this is a family, and that’s really it: just going through normal family stuff.”
Family also plays a big role on her new album I Want My Loved Ones to Go with Me, which was released in July and features collaborations with Billy Ray and Braison, as well as recordings from four generations of Cyruses. She’ll promote the record on tour starting September 12.
Noah says one song in particular, “Don’t Put It All on Me,” written by Braison, reflects her own experiences with her siblings.
“There’s so many times, especially in my relationship with my siblings growing up, you fight and you say things — but that’s your family, and they’re always going to be there for you.”
I Want My Loved Ones to Go with Me also includes “Apple Tree,” which samples a hymn written by her great-grandfather, sung by her paternal grandfather, as well as “With You,” the first song Billy Ray ever wrote.
“It really was beautiful to have that bloodline [running] through the record,” Noah added.
