Cold, showery and small
Hello Friends,
Another showery start to the day along the beaches. At 0730 wind was coming from the west at 7-9 kts and out at sea the S by SSE swell was 3.4 metres at 8-9 seconds apart. Surface conditions at Dee Why were smooth and, if you were keen and patient, every now and then a chest-high set would come in.
We’re heading to a high of 16 today with possible rainfall of 3-29 mm. We’re set to see heavier rain tomorrow and Thursday – along with stiff easterly wind. As the swell models have been indicating for some time now, our next shot at reasonable conditions will be mid to late Friday and then potentially fun to interesting waves for Saturday.

Weather Situation
A trough will move along the southern and central waters today and then linger along the northern half of the coast for the remainder of the week. Meanwhile, a high pressure system over the Bight will slowly enter the southern Tasman Sea during Tuesday. This will cause southerly winds to gradually turn easterly mid-week.
