1. Celebration of Life held for Daniel Wilson after tragic plane crash

Family, friends, and the community gathered to honor Daniel Wilson at the Empire State Aerosciences Museum on Sunday afternoon. Dan died in a private plane crash in Rhode Island at the end of July.

2. Child dies after car crashes into Fulton Co. home

A child is dead after a car allegedly crashed into a home in Oppenheim on Saturday, according to New York State Police. The incident reportedly occurred on Keyser Lake Road.

3. Humane society responds after troubling kitten discovery

Colonie waste company Casella Waste Systems was about to process their recycling when they heard meows coming from the conveyor belt. Among the piles of recycled items, workers found two kittens.

4. Winning TAKE 5 ticket sold in Glens Falls

A TAKE 5 Top-Prize lottery ticket that won Saturday’s evening drawing was reportedly sold in Glens Falls. The ticket, purchased at Tenney Brook at 150 Broad Street, was worth $32,487.50.

5. NYSP investigating death at Upstate Correctional Facility

An investigation is underway after a man incarcerated at the Upstate Correctional Facility in Malone was allegedly strangled in his cell, according to New York State Police. An autopsy has reportedly ruled the death of 35-year-old Antawon Johnson to be a homicide.
