Child dies after car crashes into Fulton Co. home

OPPENHEIM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A child is dead after a car allegedly crashed into a home in Oppenheim on Saturday, according to New York State Police. The incident reportedly occurred on Keyser Lake Road.
Authorities responded to the scene just after 4:30 p.m. According to State Police, a car was backing down the driveway when it lost control and crashed into the residence. A child, who was standing outside of the home, was also hit and fatally injured, authorities said.
An investigation is reportedly ongoing. State Police said the driver has been "fully cooperative."
