State police trooper injured in unintentional discharge in Rayne
RAYNE, La. (KLFY) -- A state trooper was hospitalized after an accidental discharge left them with a non-life-threatening injury.
According to authorities, on Friday, July 11, at 12:50 a.m., a Louisiana State Police Trooper unintentionally discharge a department-issued firearm while on duty in the Rayne area.
Officials said the trooper sustained a non-life-threatening injury and received medical treatment at a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.
