Bailey Ave. fire causes $100K in damages
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A house fire on Bailey Avenue caused an estimated total of $100,000 in damages on Saturday morning, officials said.
Fire crews responded to a fire at 2586 Bailey Ave. around 6:15 a.m. The fire started on the exterior of the 2 1/2-story wood frame house and spread to the attic, officials said. Officials said the fire caused an estimated $75,000 in damage to the building and $25,000 in damage to the building's contents.
The Red Cross is assisting three adults and three children who were displaced by the fire, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
