OKC Zoo & Botanical Garden offering free admission after OKC Thunder parade
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Zoo officials are celebrating the OKC Thunder's first NBA championship alongside the Botanical Garden is offering free general admission June 24.
“The entire state is roaring with pride after seeing the OKC Thunder win the 2025 NBA Championship, so it seemed fitting that our pride of African lions roars along,” said OKC Zoo Executive Director and CEO Dwight Lawson. “We hope everyone will celebrate this momentous occasion with us after the parade. Go Thunder!”
According to Zoo officials, the Remington Park, located across the street from the Zoo, will be an official parking location for those riding the shuttle to Broadway Avenue and between NW 7th and NW 8th streets along the parade route. Shuttles will run every 15 minutes from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and will return visitors to their vehicles from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Oklahoma City Zoo is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
