'FBI: International' Co-Creator Admits He's Sad About Cancellation, Has No Insight Into Reason Why
FBI: International left fans asking questions after the series was canceled earlier this year.
CBS opted not to renew the FBI spinoff after just four seasons on the network, as well as axing FBI: Most Wanted, but keeping the main, flagship series.
In a new interview, co-creator Derek Haas is speaking out about the show’s cancellation, noting he’s with the fans in being sad about the news.

“I was so sad to hear about the cancellation,” he told TV Line, adding, “because I loved Jesse Soffer as Wes on the show and really thought it was a dynamic cast addition in Season 4.”
“I have no insight into why it was canceled,” Derek continued. “I love [President of CBS Entertainment] Amy [Reisenbach] and [EVP of current and daytime programming] Eric [Kim] over at CBS, plus all my good friends at Wolf [Entertainment], and trust their instincts. So they must’ve had reasons that had nothing to do with the quality of the show.”
