Schenectady man arrested on child sex abuse image charges
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York State Police arrested a Schenectady man after a sex crime investigation. Rashaad Lodge, 22, is facing felony charges.
Lodge is accused of producing and owning numerous images depicting the sexual exploitation of children. He was taken into custody on Thursday after law enforcement executed a search warrant at his Schenectady home.
The warrant leading to Lodge's arrest stemmed from a tip submitted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security assisted state police with the investigation.
Lodge was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He was released on his own recognizance after being arraigned at Schenectady City Court.
