Grace Warrior Is the Sweetest Old Soul in a New Photo Bonding With Uncle Robert Irwin

There are iPad kids, and then there is Grace Warrior. Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell’s 4-year-old daughter is the sweetest old soul, and a new photo with her uncle Robert Irwin shows just how true that is. The 21-year-old introduced his niece to a quiet pastime, and we are obsessed with how prim and proper this little girl is.

“Just a couple old buddies catching up on the days events,” Robert captioned a post on Instagram Friday. They aren’t catching up overtoys like you might expect. Instead, they are reading the newspaper together!

In the snap, Robert and Grace sit at a restaurant. Robert has a breakfast sandwich and a glass of water in front of him, and Grace has leftover toast on a plate next to her. She has an actual newspaper opened up in front of her, with ads on one side and letters to the editor on the other. But Grace — who is, apparently, still a kid after all — is zeroed in on a little comment on the bottom of one page. She looks adorable in a little horse-print skirt with pink sweater, with her long brown hair falling down her back. My toddler would be running around the café, tearing the newspaper into tiny little shreds, but Grace is perfectly content just to sit and look at it.

In the comments, people were just impressed by the youngest Irwin as we were. “Not Grace reading the news paper! ????????????” one person commented. Someone else wrote, “Omg! Grace and Robert are so freaking cute and funny! ????”

“I always skip to the comics too,” another person shared.

Bindi has been calling her daughter an “old soul” since she was first born. In a photo shared after her first birthday, the proud mom called her daughter, “The most beautiful old soul.”

Grace has gotten more spunky with age, but she is still so precious. In an interview with E! News last May, the Australia Zoo CEO shared that her daughter “has so much fiery, passionate energy about her,” joking that Grace “believes she runs Australia Zoo.”

“She thinks that it’s her job to make all the make sure all the animals are cared for,” Bindi added with a laugh. “She is the kindest and most beautiful soul while also having this fiery energy that’s like dad and I love it. I love it so much.”
