Kingston man arrested in connection to alleged shooting
KINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Kingston man has been arrested in connection to an alleged shooting on Sunday morning, according to the city's police department. Anthony Harding Jr., 28, has reportedly been charged with first-degree assault.
Just after 5 a.m., Kingston police responded to a report that a person had been shot at Stuyvesant Charter Apartments on Sheehan Court, the department said. Upon arrival, officers reportedly found a 27-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his body.
The victim was treated at the HealthAlliance Hudson Valley emergency room before being transferred to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla for further treatment. His injuries are serious but non-life-threatening, according to authorities.
Kingston police arrested and charged Harding on Sunday in connection with the shooting, officials said. He was reportedly held for arraignment.
